Prof. Dr. Özlem Darcansoy İşeri received her B.Sc. degree from METU Department of Biology, M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the Department of Biotechnology. During her graduate education, she worked as a research assistant in METU Biological Sciences Department. In 2009, after obtaining her PhD degree, she started to work at Başkent University and worked in different departments in installation, academic and educational activities. In 2013, she became an Associate Professor in Biology and in 2019 he became a Professor. She is currently working as the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Director of Ekin Pre-Incubation Center and Director of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Development Institute. Dr. İşeri’s research interests include molecular mechanisms and reversal of cancer chemotherapy resistance, evaluation of cellular responses to different agents and their anticarcinogenic potential, nanotechnological approaches in cancer treatment and molecular mechanisms of stress in plants. Hers 46 research articles have received about 750 citations, he has authored 6 book chapters, worked as an executive and researcher in 21 projects supported by TÜBİTAK and TÜSEB and many other projects supported by different sources, and has been awarded awards and scholarships at national and international levels. In addition to being an active member of the referee and advisory boards of different journals, institutions and organizations and congress / symposium organizing boards, she is a member of the board of directors of the Biotechnology Association.
